HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Eight civilian employees in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex were recognized Feb. 4 by Lt. Gen. Gene Kirkland, Air Force Sustainment Center commander, for their 40-years of service to the federal government.

The general presented them each with traditional federal service pins and certificates of service during a small ceremony. Recognized were:

• Bruce A. Gorham, 532nd Commodities Maintenance Squadron
• David R. Herrera, 573rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron
• Norman G. Lassen, 581st Missile Maintenance Squadron
• Charles T. Nabor, 524th Electronic Maintenance Squadron
• Lauriann M O’dell, Ogden Air Logistics Complex Business Office
• Andrew Perkins, 582nd Missile Maintenance Squadron
• Gayland D. Rentie, 573rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron
• Nola K. Sharp, 523rd Electronic Maintenance Squadron

Civilians are routinely honored for every 10 years of federal service.

The general and other AFSC leaders are visiting Hill Air Force Base Feb. 3-8 as part of a “move the flag” visit, which aims to immerse them in the local mission, and gives them the opportunity interact with the workforce and personally communicate AFSC goals.

(This article was updated Feb. 8 to include the names of two more employees who received recognition.)
