I'm coming to you with information as it is made official. As of today, the Department of Defense plans to reduce the number of furlough days from 22 to 14.

Officials have also pushed the start of the furlough to the last seven pay periods during the fiscal year - which means furlough letters will not be distributed next week. We are still waiting on the specific guidance on the new timeline concerning the furlough letter distribution.

I will continue to bring you official news as it's given to me. Thank you for your hard work and continued dedication to our mission during this turbulent time. We still have Airmen in harm's way and we need to continue our part to bring all of them safely home.

Thank you for all you do for our Air Force and our nation!

Keep 'em flying...it's what we do!

Ross
