Hi, everyone.
0:12
Welcome to Chief's chat.
0:14
And this is Beth Ferrer, your Air Force Sustainment Command Chief.
0:17
So today we're very excited because I'm bringing in my very own wingman, the Executive Assistant to the Command Chief, Tech Sergeant Paul Deitz.
0:26
Paul, how are you doing today?
0:28
Good Chief, how are you?
0:28
Very good.
0:29
Well, I really appreciate you scheduling time on my calendar so we can do this right.
0:35
So I know that you are a defender who I guess would like to share with the team is you've been a defender.
0:43
How many years, nine years, nine years.
0:46
So what made you interested in pursuing and leaning in into an opportunity like this where you can be a command chief exec?
0:53
Well, Chief, thanks for having me again.
0:55
And the reason that I really leaned into it is I've been operating for the past nine years at a tactical and operational level.
1:02
And here at the Air Force Sustainment Center.
1:04
We know that this is strategic being with Lieutenant General Hawkins, a three star you a 27-year chief NAF level equivalent.
1:12
I get to be a part of those meetings and really get to see their strategic level of the Air Force, especially at a time like this with the GPC and all that talks.
1:20
So I am very privileged and happy just to be a part of the team here.
1:26
Yeah.
1:27
And so what do you think you'll be taken away after your time with me?
1:32
What's the biggest take away that you think you'll leave out of here?
1:35
The biggest take away, Chief, once I put the beret back on and I'm checking on the Airmen at the gates here at Tinker Air Force Base, is I get to rebrand AFSC to the Defenders.
1:46
They don't know what's happening here at Building 3001.
1:49
All they see is the traffic coming through.
1:50
So being able to bring that to the Airmen and say there's a lot more going on than what you see day-to-day and being able to share that with them is what I'm going to take back.
1:58
That's outstanding.
1:59
Well, I really appreciate all the support they've given me for the time that we've been together.
2:04
How long has it been now?
2:05
Maybe six months, right?
2:07
You just been a tremendous wingman, great asset to the team.
2:11
And so I really appreciate everything that you do day in and day out.
2:14
So indeed, Well.
2:16
So that is it for today.
2:18
That's our Chief Chat session.
2:19
Please take care of yourselves and keep leading well.
