A rising STAR in the 558th SWES: Edgar Magallanes
Edgar Magallanes, pictured here in between his grandfather, left, father and brother, right, and uncle, top left, is an electronics engineer with the 558th Software Engineering Squadron. He was born in El Paso, Texas, but spent much of his early childhood living with his parents across the border in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Magallanes’ roots to the United States began with his grandfather, who first came to the U.S. from Mexico through the Bracero Program, which was a World War II-era agreement between the two countries that was intended to offset labor shortages in the U.S. (Photo courtesy Edgar Magallanes)
