STEM with regents

In his Feb. 1 address to the Oklahoma State Board of Regents, Air Force Sustainment Center Commander Lt. Gen. Lee K. Levy II holds up a photo of PT-13 Stearman biplanes, used as a basic trainer for teaching pilots how to fly at the end of World War I and the beginning of World War II. He said that because the services neglected to keep up with technology, U.S. pilots weren’t prepared for the type of aerial combat they would encounter in the Pacific. (Air Force photo by Darren D.
