P4 charter signing

Lt. Gen. Bruce Litchfield, Air Force Sustainment Center commander, third from left, poses for a photograph with several key community leaders after presenting Tinker Air Force Base with the Association of Defense Communities 2013 Installation of the Year Award here Wednesday. The Defense Community Award recognizes Tinker for leadership in building innovative partnerships with its host community that enhance military missions and promote installation efficiency. Pictured with General Litchfield are, from left, Del City Mayor Brian Linley, Midwest City Mayor Jack Fry, Oklahoma County Commissioner Willa Johnson, Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, Oklahoma County Commissioner Ray Vaughn, and Col. Steven Bleymaier, 72nd Air Base Wing and Tinker installation commander. The community leaders were on hand for the official signing of a Community Partnership Initiative Charter. Tinker is the first of three Air Force Sustainment Center bases to sign an official charter. Look for details on the charter signing in next week’s Tinker Take Off.
