Kristy A. Jordan is the Director of Staff, Air Force Sustainment Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. She is responsible for integrating daily operations, management, resources, facilities, and executive administrative activities in support of the AFSC Headquarters mission. Her role includes assisting the commander and executive director in overseeing operations which span three Air Logistics Complexes, three Air Base Wings, two Supply Chain Wings and multiple remote locations that incorporate approximately 40,000 military and civilian personnel. The AFSC provides logistics operations, supply chain management, supply chain operations, depot maintenance and modifications, joint and interagency operations, foreign military sales as well as sustainment and positive inventory control for the nuclear enterprise.
Ms. Jordan entered federal service in June 2006 as an aerospace engineer supporting the E-3 System Program Office as the corrosion manager and project engineer for several E-3 systems. She later served as Engineering Branch Chief over manufacturing operations for the 76th Commodities Maintenance Group and then transitioned to production leadership to serve as the Director of the 553rd Commodities Maintenance Squadron. She implemented gated processes and Art of the Possible principles across manufacturing operations at Tinker Air Force Base, resulting in increased throughput of organically manufactured parts supporting B-1, B-2, B-52, KC-135, E-3, and E-6 weapon systems. She went on to serve as the 566th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Director, responsible for depot maintenance operations for the E-3 and E-6 weapon systems.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Jordan served as Chief, Strategic Plans and Requirements Division, Logistics Directorate, Air Force Sustainment Center, Tinker AFB. She served as the center point of contact for capabilities planning and integration for key strategic initiatives.
