Col. Deedrick L. Reese is the Deputy Commander, Air Force Sustainment Center, headquartered at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. As the AFSC Deputy Commander, he leads activities across 3 Air Logistics Complexes, 3 Air Base Wings, 2 Supply Chain Wings, 10 staff offices, and an executive team for a 3-star commander. He enables the Commander to execute his vision in leading 39,000 personnel while providing oversight of a $17 billion operating budget and $450 billion inventory. He assumes responsibility in the Commander's absence to direct maintenance, repair, and overhaul of 2,700 aircraft and 31,000 engines.
The AFSC is responsible for $26 billion in assets generating $16 billion in annual revenue. The command provides global logistics and sustainment planning, operations, and command and control including agile software development and sustainment, supply chain management and execution, weapons systems maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul, as well as critical sustainment for the Air Force and Navy nuclear enterprise. The AFSC also provides mission essential support to joint and interagency operations, allies, coalition partners, and foreign military sales partners.
Col. Reese was commissioned in 1999 upon graduation from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. He has served in various special operations, mobility, and fighter aircraft maintenance organizations, and has completed staff officer assignments at Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Headquarters Air Combat Command and Headquarters Air Force. Col Reese’s previous command experience includes the 58th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Kirtland Air Force Base, the 451st Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan, the 27th Special Operations Maintenance Operations Squadron at Cannon Air Force Base, and the 1st Special Operations Maintenance Group, Hurlburt Field, Florida. Before his current assignment, Col. Reese was the Commander, 78th Air Base Wing, Robins AFB, Ga.
