College Credits for Security Forces and Non-Destructive Inspection Civilian Professionals
The University Model Working Group, an enterprise-level working group, sought opportunities to innovate, design and deliver training for AFSC’s workforce, as part of the Achieving AFSC Strategic Goals and Objectives initiative, in late 2020.
The UMWG solicited educational institutions to award college credits towards degree programs for training completed by Air Force civilians.
Liberty, Park and Phoenix Universities now offer college credits towards associate and bachelor’s degree programs in Criminal Justice or Interdisciplinary Studies to our NDI and SF civilian workforce. Civilians can be awarded up to 24 credit hours depending on the university and degree program if they have completed training identified in the career field’s civilian training plan.
AFSC plans to include additional technical civilian career fields and educational institutions for college credit awarding opportunities.
