It's called the medical FAST FORWARD facility which stands for First Aid Station, Treatment, and Forward Operating Rehabilitation of Workers Accentuating Restorative Dynamics.

The 2,000-square-foot centralized location allows employees who work in industrial areas of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex access to health professionals, within a few minutes' walk from most work sites.

Its delivery is significant, not only due to Air Mobility Command's demand for its improved capabilities, but for its like-new condition due to programmed depot maintenance, a first-ever refurbishment and additional damage repairs due to an incident downrange.

In April 2012, the aircraft sustained extensive damage in its left main landing gear pod while performing airlift operations. It was unable to fly, so a team of C-5 Program Office avionics and hydraulic systems and structural engineers from Robins flew overseas, teaming with a Dover maintenance recovery team to make temporary repairs so it could safely return to the states.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency presented the Brownfields Phoenix Award to Oklahoma County Commissioner Ray Vaughn at Tinker's Bldg. 9001 June 6, recognizing the collaborative transformation success of the former automobile plant to an aerospace complex as one of the nation's top environmental redevelopment projects.

In 2012, TAC 9001 was the first former industrial site facility in the U.S. Air Force that received a Brownfields certificate, making it a strong candidate for the Phoenix Award, one of the more distinguished environmental redevelopment awards in the country.

The base steam system is being decentralized and some of the plants are closing. The first plant was closed in late April marking a big step in the Air Force's largest domestic energy retrofit project. To take the place of this central steam plant, new heat-generating, energy-efficient equipment and individualized gas lines that will run to each building are being installed and commissioned.

Tinker has four central plants, three of which will be permanently shut down. The fourth, located near the east runway, will be improved. Work began in October 2012 and a completion date is scheduled for July 2015.
