AFSC commander recounts importance of mentoring during AFCOMA gala

Lt. Gen. Stacy Hawkins, Air Force Sustainment Center Commander, gives the keynote speech at the 34th Annual Air Force Cadet Officer Mentor Association’s (AFCOMA) Anniversary Awards Gala to a room filled with ROTC cadets, AFCOMA members and alum, and their families on May 6, 2023, at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The mentoring and scholarship organization is instrumental in shaping the kind of leader Lt. Gen. Hawkins would grow into and is officially recognized by the United States Air Force with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Air Force Cadet Mentor Association, Inc. Chairman and the Secretary of the Air Force Director for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
