Two charity fairs were held this week to kick off the Robins 2012 Combined Federal Campaign season. A total of 60 non-profit organizations presented information to base personnel ahead of the start of the annual fall campaign.

The Robins campaign runs Oct. 15 through Nov. 23. The Middle Georgia CFC, which covers 17 counties, has a goal of $1.5 million, including the Robins goal of $1.4 million.

"This year's campaign theme is 'Give a little. Help a LOT.' That says it all," said Jani Le, CFC chair. "There is an overwhelming amount of support from Team Robins. We will have more than 300 volunteers this year and they are the people who make this campaign successful year after year. I am grateful to my management for giving me the opportunity to represent my fellow employees and military members as chair of the CFC."

CFC is the world's largest annual workplace charity campaign, which includes more than 200 campaigns throughout the U.S. and world.

The campaign season runs from Sept. 1 to Dec. 15, and includes pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors who support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

In 2011, Robins employees gave $1,570,344. Robins has exceeded its goal every year during the last 11 years.

There are currently 50 super monitors and alternates representing organizations across the base, with an additional 300 key workers and monitors.

Last year, there were almost one million federal employees who pledged over $272 million to participating local, national and international charities. Since CFC's creation in 1961, it has raised over $7 billion.
